Firearms medical test

On the health fitness conditions and testing for the acquisition and possession of small arms, ammunition, gas and alarm weapons

Group I. shall be classified in accordance with the provisions of the Government Decree 253/2004 (VIII. 31.) on Weapons and Ammunition (hereinafter referred to as KR1.) in § 22 and § 29
In the case of fitness group I., the health care body authorised to provide occupational health care to the person concerned in accordance with the law on occupational health care services.
A person in Fitness Group I. who is licensed to carry a firearm,
who has not yet reached the age of 40 shall undergo a medical and psychological examination every 5 years;
over 40 years of age but under 60 years of age, every 2 years for medical and every 4 years for psychological;
if over 60 years of age, undergo a periodic medical examination every 1 year and a periodic psychological examination every 2 years.

The persons specified in § 23 (1), § 24 and § 25 (1) of Government Decree 253/2004 (VIII. 31.) KR1. shall be classified in the suitability group II.
In the case of aptitude group II. - with the exception of the person specified in § 23 (1) of the Act on the Fitness to Practise of the Medical Examination (hereinafter referred to as KR1.) - the general practitioner of the person examined.
A person in Fitness Group II. who is licensed to carry a firearm, with the exception of a person as defined in Article 23(1) of KR1
who has not yet reached the age of 40, every 10 years,
over 40 years of age but under 60 years of age, every 5 years,
every 3 years for persons aged 60 or over but under 70,
every 2 years after the age of 70, he shall undergo a periodic medical examination.
